Last week, former Runaways bassist Jackie Fox went public with her rape allegations against the band’s manager Kim Fowley, detailing a graphic account of what happened after the band’s 1975 New Year’s Eve show and who witnessed it.

After the Huffington Post article “The Lost Girls” gained traction online, Fox’s once-bandmates Joan Jett and Cherie Currie issued statements maintaining they were unaware of the incident.

Fox, however, is sticking by her account. In a lengthy statement posted to her Facebook, she defended the reporter Jason Cherkis and alleged once again that her bandmates were fully aware of the incident.
