A few months back, Ace Frehley‘s plans to jam with Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band on a cover of AC/DC’s “Highway to Hell” at the end of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony were foiled.
Space Ace, promoting his upcoming album Space Invader, sat in with Questlove and co. last night on The Tonight Show.
Together with Philly’s finest, he performed his cover of “New York Groove” from his KISS-era solo album Ace Frehley in 1978 (the song was originally recorded by a group called Hello in 1975).
Questlove’s drum set paid tribute to the late Robin Williams via a small drum that read “Nanu Nanu,” the catchphrase by Williams’ early TV character Mork from the shows Happy Days and Mork & Mindy. Quest had written a lengthy tribute to the actor earlier on Instagram.
