In April, Gregg Allman told Radio.com that, despite the fact that Allman Brothers Band guitarists Warren Haynes and Derek Trucks are leaving the group at the end of the year, the legendary jam band would not break up. His quote: “As for the rumor of the Brothers breaking up after 45 years, in other words, after this year, that is a rumor. We are not breaking up.”

However, a press release sent out early this morning (June 2), seems to contradict that. Titled “Allman Brothers Band Announce Final Shows,” it lists the new dates for the band’s postponed March shows from New York City’s Beacon Theatre, and adds two additional dates.

The postponed concerts, originally scheduled for March 25, 26, 28 and 29 have now been rescheduled for October 21, 22, 24 and 25, respectively. The band has also added two additional shows at the Beacon for October 27 and 28, with the latter show being billed as their final concert. The postponed shows were all sold out; on-sale information for the two new shows has not been announced yet.
