Last night, New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft hosted a private Rolling Stones concert at Gillette Stadium for 200-300 of his closest friends and business associates. According to the Boston Globe, those invited received a small box in the mail containing a white rock with the printed words: “Gillette Stadium Tuesday Evening October 25, 2016. Very Special Live Performance by The Rolling Stones.”

The guest list included 98.5 The Sports Hub’s Scott Zolak, Boston rocker Peter Wolf, legendary designer Tommy Hilfiger, Secretary of State John Kerry, and Celtics co-owner Wyc Grousbeck.

Wyc called in to Karlson & McKenzie this morning to talk about last night’s show, which he declared the best concert he’s ever seen. Although the show was private, it wasn’t a secret. When Kevin asked Wyc if Robert Kraft said to keep the concert quiet, he said “No, but on the other hand, I don’t think they expected their friends to make a big fuss about it.”

Even though the crowd was small, the energy was big according to Wyc. “The Stones were fired up. They made reference to ‘it’s small crowd, but there’s a great energy in the room.’” “Keith Richards was smiling and grinning and winking at everybody,” Wyc recalled with a laugh. “He was having the time of his life. He really had fun. They had fun.”
