Gene Simmons Falls During KISS Performance

By Annie Reuter

Gene Simmons took a tumble on stage over the weekend while in Bozeman, Montana. On Saturday (July 16), Simmons was performing “Rock and Roll All Nite,” the last song of the set, when he fell over backwards.

Security was quick on their feet as one staffer ran over and helped Simmons up moments later. He seemed unharmed as he picked up the microphone and went right back into performing the song.

KISS are currently in the midst of their Freedom To Rock Tour. Simmons previously told Radio.com that the band will be hiring veterans on each stop of the tour.

“We’re teaming up with the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, and the U.S. Government, to hire vets on every single stop of our tour, and they’re gonna get paid, and they’re gonna help our crew put on the greatest show on earth, period.”

As Simmons explains, he feels a huge debt to the U.S. Armed Forces.

“My mother was 14 when she was in the concentration camps of Nazi Germany,” he adds. “My mother’s alive and well, but only because of America. Without America’s military, the world would be in deep… fill-in-the-blank. I’m forever grateful for that.”
