For its 25th anniversary, Chicago-based festival will host over 170 bands for four full days of music. That adds one extra day to the normal three-day affair.
The festival’s founder Perry Farrell said in a statement, “It’s our 25th Anniversary and we wanted to do something really special and different for our fans. When the party can’t wait for the weekend, the movers and shakers make it happen on Thursday! So, we’ve put together an entire additional day of music to celebrate our milestone year. It’s going to be a fantastic party!”
J. Cole, Lana Del Rey, Future, Ellie Goulding, Disclosure, Major Lazer, Jane’s Addiction, Haim, Flume, The 1975, M83, Halsey, Chris Stapleton, G-Eazy, Halsey, Grimes, Hardwell, Martin Garrix, Flosstradamus, Vince Staples, A$AP Ferg, Two Door Cinema Club are among the other artists on the bill. Held in Grant Park every year, the 2016 celebration will begin on Thursday, July 28th and conclude Sunday, July 31st.
