B.B. King’s Daughters Allege He Was Poisoned, Lawyer Says That’s ‘Ridiculous’

By Shannon Carlin

B.B. King‘s two daughters are claiming that their father’s death was the result of him being poisoned by his close aides. But an attorney for King’s estate says their claims are ridiculous.

According to CBS Dallas/Fort Worth, the two, Karen Williams and Patty King, filed separate affidavits over the weekend that claim their father was “administered foreign substances to induce his premature death.”

“I believe my father was murdered,” each wrote in their affidavits.

The two allege that close family members were prevented from visiting King while his business manager, LaVerne Toney, and his personal assistant, Myron Johnson, took part in the murder of their father. No family members were present at the time of his death on May 14, but Johnson was by his bedside.
