What musical artists come to mind when you think “Biker”?  Certainly Steppenwolf’s Born To Be Wild comes to mind. Harleys and Southern rock bands like The Allman Brothers, Lynyrd Skynyrd, or ZZ Top always seem to go together. Sometimes they like country music. It wouldn’t be unusual to hear Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple, or Aerosmith (Steven Tyler famously hurt himself falling off the stage there two years ago) blasting from the stereo on a bat-wing FLH bagger fairing.  Well, Hog-Riding tough guys headed to the annual Black Hills Motorcycle Classic in Sturgis, S.D. this summer will be treated to blistering live rock from….Journey and Loverboy?  Really? The two bands are touring together this summer, along with the lovely Pat Benatar (Details on a Pacific Northwest show coming soon), but Pat won’t be playing with them Monday August 6th (Might she be a bit too hard-a-rockin’ for this year?) at the self-proclaimed “Best Party Anywhere” at the Buffalo Chip Campground.  In their defense, Lynyrd Skynyrd are playing this year as well.

I went through a very brief Loverboy phase— there was this girl, you see. And Journey went straight downhill after they hired the opera singer dude. _Look_Into_The_Future_ was their best record.
