Dave Niehaus, the iconic announcer who has broadcast Seattle Mariners baseball games since the team’s first days in 1977 has died. Niehaus, who received the Ford Frick Award at the Hall of Fame induction ceremony in 2008, was 75. Cause of death was not immediately known. The Mariners are expected to make a statement soon. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family and friends.
